Kentucky Fire Juniors Player's of the Week (4-22-2013)
Apr 25 2013 - Kristen Wallace

Team Name: U10 Classic White Boys

Player’s Name: Josh Smith

Players Position: Left Back/Left Forward

Player They Most Admire: Andrew Farrell

Coaches Thoughts on Player:

Josh Smith had a great week at practice and for the two games our team had this weekend. Playing Left back, Josh was solid in defense but also one of the teams most offensive threat. He has worked very hard in practices and his hard work paid off on the field.

Team Name: Boy’s U11 Premier Red

Player’s Name: Campbell Chandler

Players Position: Goalkeeper/Defender

Player They Most Admire: Austin Berry of Chicago Fire

Coaches Thoughts on Player: The U11 Premier Red Boys had a busy Buckeye League schedule on the weekend.  They beat Hammers 4-1, with Campbell contributing a shut-out half as a goalkeeper.  Saturday afternoon they played UASA and came out with a 9-0 win, Campbell scoring 1 goal on the field and contributing another shut-out half.  Sunday the team defeated Santos 1-0 in a fiercely contested game, Campbell made 6 saves playing the full game in goal to preserve the shutout victory.

Team Name: U12 Premier Red Girls

Player’s Name: Gabby Hibbs

Players Position: Center back/Center Mid

Coaches Thoughts on Player:

Gabby is a fantastic player with great vision.  She sees the field as well as any player on the field.  Her composure playing out of the back is better than I have seen any U12. Gabby lead the girls to there second consecutive Louisville Cup Championship allowing one goal in four games and scoring the final three goals for the team.

Team Name: U14 Premier Red Boys

Player’s Name: Dylan Barth

Players Position: Striker

Coaches Thoughts on Player:

Dylan Barth scored two goals for the KFJ Premier u14's as they opened up play in the MRL.  He continued to push forward for a third goal but was denied a couple of goals by some good saves by the goalkeeper.  He also set up a couple of quality chances for teammates to no avail.  His steady play in the midfield this season has been a great asset to the team.
