Allison Whitfield Named 2013-14 Girls Player of the Year!

Allison Whitfield, a member of the Kentucky Fire Juniors (KFJ) '98 (rising u17) Girls Team, was recently named the 2013-14 Girls Player of the Year by Kentucky Youth Soccer. Allison was a vital part of her team's 2014 Kentucky State Cup Championship and 3rd Place finish in the MRL Premier Division. Last February (2014), she was also named to the Region II ODP Team that competed in an international tournament in Costa Rica.

The club works with a curriculum set by the USSF and the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer. The technical sta from KFJ actively coach and oversee the continuous development of every age group in the entire club (U8-U19).

KFJ's Mike Dickey, Brett Gregory & Frank Peabody Featured in 2013-14 CFJ Female Elite ID Program

The ID camp is part of a wider initiative to raise the standards of female soccer in Fire Juniors clubs. Devised by Fire Juniors coaches for female Fire Juniors players, the program aims to identify the most elite female performers in the ten Fire Juniors clubs and place them in a professional training camp environment before selecting the top talent to participate in a number of high level female soccer tournaments and events.

KFJ U14 Classic Red Team Wins Louisville Cup Championship!

The KFJ U-14 Classic team pulled out their first championship trophy at the Louisville Cup. The team was able to overcome several challenges throughout the year by clicking as a team and winning our tournament. Coach Damien Sweeney said, "I'm so proud of this group. They were able to play for one another, come up with big plays and achieve their goals. Every player contributed to this championship and I couldn't be more proud." The U-14 Classic team looks to continue their run in their final two tournaments of the season.
