KFJ Finds Success at State Cup & Chicago Fire ID Camp Announcement

The Kentucky Fire Juniors (KFJ) had another stellar weekend in both Bowling Green and Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with a total of 21 boys and girls competing in the 2014 Kentucky State Open Cup, hosted May 24-26.  Of the 21 total teams competing in the preliminary (group) stages of the Kentucky State Open Cup, a record 19 KFJ teams advanced to the semi-final round of competition, to be hosted May 31!

Congratulations to players and coaches for their exceptional performances at State Cup. As previously mentioned, KFJ had a record number of teams advance to the semifinals round after group play this past weekend. This is a result of the countless number of hours of hard work put in by the players and KFJ staff over the course of the 2013-14 select year, and for prior years as well. We would also like to give credit to our soccer families for the sacrifices you have all made to help your son or daughter improve as a soccer player and person. Thank you on behalf of all of the KFJ staff. We would not have our teams playing this well without your cooperation and commitment to our Soccer Club.

I would also like to congratulate all the KFJ players that have been selected to participate in the Chicago Fire SC Elite Player ID camp that will take place at Lake Forest Academy (Chicago area). This is a unique opportunity exclusive to Chicago Fire Affiliates. It has been very successful for our KFJ girls the past two years and we are excited that our KFJ boys will also now be able to participate.  Good luck to all KFJ players and Coaches who will attend this year’s ID Camp. Check out more information on the each of the ID camps -
